Florida to NY & NJ Yacht Delivery Route
A northbound yacht delivery from Florida to New York or New Jersey may use offshore Atlantic passages, the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), or a combination of both. The route is planned around the individual vessel, including cruising speed, fuel range, draft, air draft, weather tolerance and destination. Departures may begin from the Gulf Coast, South Florida, Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, St. Lucie, Jacksonville or other Florida ports before continuing north through Georgia and the Carolinas.
Depending on conditions, routing may include St. Augustine, Fernandina Beach, Brunswick, Charleston, Georgetown, Southport, the Cape Fear River, Wrightsville Beach, Masonboro Inlet, Beaufort, the Neuse River, Pamlico Sound, Albemarle Sound, Coinjock, Great Bridge Lock, Norfolk and Hampton Roads. From Virginia, the delivery may continue offshore past Ocean City, Maryland and Cape May before reaching the New Jersey coast, Sandy Hook, New York Harbor, Hudson River, and surrounding New York and New Jersey marinas.
