Southeast Ports, Waterways & Destinations
North Carolina
Delivery routes may include the Outer Banks and Oregon Inlet, Hatteras and Pan Shoals, as well as inside routes through Coinjock, Albemarle Sound, the Alligator River, Pungo River and Belhaven. Farther south, routes may continue through the Neuse River to Morehead City and Beaufort, then along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway toward Wrightsville Beach, Wilmington, the Cape Fear River and Southport. North Carolina routing may use protected coastal waters, the ICW, offshore passages or a combination of these depending on the vessel, inlet conditions, weather and destination.
South Carolina & Georgia
Routes may continue south through Myrtle Beach and the Waccamaw River to Georgetown, Charleston Harbor, Beaufort, Port Royal and Hilton Head, then into Georgia through Savannah and the surrounding ICW waterways toward St. Simons and Brunswick. These stretches include tidal rivers, sounds, coastal marshes and sections of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway that connect the Carolinas with northern Florida and longer East Coast delivery routes.
Southeast Yacht Delivery Route Planning
Every Southeast yacht delivery is planned around the vessel, weather, tides, currents, fuel range, draft and the safest practical route. Depending on the trip, routing may involve the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, protected sounds and rivers, offshore legs, or a combination of all three. Particular attention is given to inlet conditions, shoaling, bridge clearances and openings, locks, marina and fuel availability, daylight, tidal range and changing weather. Northbound and southbound routes are adjusted as conditions develop, whether the vessel is moving between Florida and the Carolinas, continuing north toward Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic, or running south toward Georgia and Florida.
